Cancellation, rescheduling & deliverables

1.1  Client may cancel a scheduled appointment by notifying The Makeup Edit (“TME”) through the booking platform, or by email or text to the artist or team, no later than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

1.2  Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice will not be charged a cancellation fee. Any deposit paid will be applied toward a future appointment booked within 90 days of the original appointment date, or refunded at TME’s discretion, less any non-refundable processing fees.

1.3  Cancellations made with less than [48 hours’] notice (a “Late Cancellation”) will forfeit the deposit and/or be charged a cancellation fee equal to [50%] of the scheduled service price, charged to the payment method on file.

1.4  A “No-Show” (Client does not appear within 20 minutes of the appointment start time and cannot be reached) will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price. No-shows are not eligible for rebooking of the forfeited amount.

1.5  TME reserves the right to cancel or reassign an appointment to another certified artist due to illness, emergency, or scheduling conflict. In that event, Client will be offered the next available appointment at no additional charge, or a full refund of amounts paid for the affected appointment.

1.6  TME may, at its sole discretion, waive a cancellation or no-show fee for documented emergencies or extenuating circumstances.

2.1  Client may reschedule an appointment one (1) time at no charge, provided the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time and the new appointment is booked within 30 days of the original date.

2.2  Requests to reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as a Late Cancellation under Section 1.3 and are subject to the applicable cancellation fee; a new appointment may then be booked and paid for separately.

2.3  All rescheduling requests must be submitted through the booking platform (or by email/text to TME) and are confirmed only once Client receives written confirmation of the new date and time.

3.1  Signature Service &  Makeup Lesson Following a completed appointment, Client will receive, within 3–5 business days:

• a curated, shoppable product board reflecting the products discussed and recommended during the session; and
• a personalized written routine guide showing product order of application, technique notes, and placement, based on the intake form completed during the appointment.

3.2  Delivery method. Deliverables will be sent to the email address or client portal on file. TME is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact information or third-party email delivery issues.

3.3  Makeup Application. This service is delivered in person as a finished makeup application, and does not include a written routine guide or shoppable board unless purchased as an add-on.

3.4  Follow-up support. Client may reach out with questions about their routine guide or product board for 14 days following delivery at no additional charge. Additional follow-up sessions may be booked as a new appointment.

3.5  Nature of deliverables. Recommendations, routines, and product boards are educational and consultative in nature, tailored to the information Client provides and the artist’s professional judgment. They are not a guarantee of specific results and are not medical, dermatological, or therapeutic advice.

3.6  Ownership and use. All guides, product boards, and related materials are provided for Client’s personal use only and remain the intellectual property of The Makeup Edit LLC. They may not be reproduced, resold, or distributed without TME’s written permission.

3.7  Delivery delays. If TME is unable to deliver the routine guide and/or product board within the timeframe above, TME will notify Client of the delay and the revised delivery date; no refund is due solely on account of a short delay in delivery of these written materials.
